This issue brings you a warm invitation to the World Teachers’ Conference 2027. For over a year now, the Hague Circle and the Pedagogical Section have been working on the theme of learning and working, which we consider to be highly relevant. We would be delighted if many of you could attend. Please forward the link containing all the information to any colleagues who might be interested.
Learning and working – how can we organise this in such a way...
...so that, under today’s conditions, children, young people and adults can develop autonomy and a shared sense of responsibility for human beings and the world?
...so that we can prepare them for the ecological, technical and social challenges?
You will also find three articles on the topic of 'learning':
On our learning as teachers in relation to anthroposophy through encounters in a multicultural context (Hornfay Cherng)
On young people’s learning during the transition from school to working life (Albrecht Schad)
On learning in Waldorf schools in the context of the latest PISA study. (Philipp Reubke)
We recommend the latest publications on Waldorf Resources and Constanza Kalik’s story from a school in Brazil, which reminds us that children sometimes experience school within a much broader context than we do.
With warm regards from the Pedagogical Section at the Goetheanum
World Teachers' Conference 2027
The programme is finalised, the workshops and the trailer have been published: the doors of the Goetheanum will soon be opening once again to educators from all over the world! Come and join us! Registrations are now open.
In July 2026, an educational conference attended by more than 600 teachers took place in Florianópolis, Brazil. Constanza Kaliks, the Head of the Pedagogical Section, also took part. Of the many warm encounters and memorable conversations, she particularly remembered the story of a Brazilian teacher.
