Dear colleagues in Waldorf and Rudolf Steiner Schools and Kindergartens, dear friends!
At the start of the year the new team of the Pedagogical Section began its work. Dorothee Prange has been with the Section for more than twenty years as operations manager, Constanza Kaliks and Philipp Reubke assumed their tasks as section leaders a couple of months ago, and Ioana Viscrianu joined as research assistant at the beginning of February. For certain projects Robin Schmidt will contribute in a freelance capacity. Details can be found here.
We will be sending articles and video clips on a regular basis, in the form of a news update, and we will inform you about new articles on Waldorf Resources website. From now, Waldorf Resources will not issue a separate newsletter. The printed edition of the Journal of the Pedagogical Section, on the other hand, will appear less frequently. We are looking forward to your feedback and suggestions and wish you a good read.

Help for the victims of war in Ukraine
Violence as a means of conducting confrontation beyond defence, and even more so, the call for violence against individuals, is in complete contradiction to the educational task of equipping children and young people, though their daily activities at school, with skills that enable them to take part in dialogue and discourse as independent and responsible individuals. Our task as educators is to do everything we can to ensure that children and young people, despite the fears and upheaval that many of them are currently exposed to, experience in the adults they meet that conflicts can be solved, even if they seem hopeless at first. For the sake of all people, we hope for an end to the fighting! The association
"Friends of Waldorf Education" is preparing a series of actions to help traumatised, frightened refugees on the borders of Ukraine, as well as those who remain in Ukraine. How you can help
Some suggestions for study and reflection in the teachers' meetings'
What can we do to make the teachers’ meeting a place of study and research, of learning and renewal of educational practice? How can this organ become "the heart of the school"? How can the teachers’ meeting refresh and motivate all teachers and play its part in school
leadership? This was one of the questions we sent to schools and kindergartens around the world.
Write to us if you have any suggestions to share about the study work.
On March 23 and April 24, presentations and discussions with
Constanza Kaliks and Philipp Reubke will take place on this topic via Zoom at 4.30 PM MET each day.
