Dear friends of the Youth Section Worldwide,

The end of the academic year is fast approaching and we can sense the brilliant work that has gone into preparing all the exciting events that our worldwide network is offering at the moment!

There are so many wonderful activities happening, that we have decided to let them speak for themselves in this newsletter. Below you'll see examples of our friend's events, as well as what we have prepared for you in the upcoming months (for example, Alma Humana 2022 and a series of talks on the Threefold Social Order will take place before the end of Summer).

Unfortunately, we are very sorry to announce that one of these has had to be cancelled: the Worldwide Youth Gathering in Camphill, which was going to take place in June. We hope that those of you who were looking forward to meeting each other in person there will find some of our other activities interesting too.

In addition to our events, we are happy to let you know that we have launched a new website! In the next weeks, we will continue filling www.youthsection.org with great content, so keep an eye out for what's to come. As always, we are very happy to receive your feedback and comments.

We look forward to staying in touch and seeing you at one of these upcoming events!

With warm greetings from the Goetheanum,

Andrea de la Cruz, Gaia Termopoli, Ioana Viscrianu, Jacinta Gorchs and Johannes Kronenberg with Constanza Kaliks & Nathaniel Williams

Threefold Social Order and the Task of Youth
Series Announcement
9 June & 27 - 29 June, Goetheanum

We are pleased to announce the beginning of a series of lectures on the Threefold Social Order and the task of youth. Throughout the year, we will have experts in the field who will share with us their thoughts inspired by these questions:

  • What is Threefolding?
  • What is the task of youth in relation to it?
  • How can we make the Threefold Social Order a reality now?

The first two speakers will be Gerald Häfner, leader of the Social Sciences Section at the Goetheaum and Joan Melé, from the Ethical Banking movement in Latin America. Joan will give also a three-day course in addition to his talk.
All talks will be recorded and later uploaded as part of a series on Goetheanum TV. If you are interested in attending in person, email us!
Alma Humana! Contributions to Human Dignity 27 - 31 July, Goetheanum
Organised by  representatives of the anthroposophical movement in Latin-speaking regions, the General Anthroposophical Section and the Youth Section at the Goetheanum. It takes place in 7 different languages. Reductions and scholarships are available to young people and those coming from countries with weak currencies.

Frage! Begegne! Spiele! (Question! Encounter! Play!) 2022 Save the date 10 - 16 October, Goetheanum
You are invited to participate in a week-long experience where you will meet young people coming from different places around the world. Together you will work on an original theatre piece that you will create with the project facilitators, including the music, scenery and acting. We will work in the Goetheanum's natural surroundings, and live together at the Pfadiheim house for young people. There we will rehearse, play games and share meals with each other!

SUPPORT OUR WORK!
In 1924 Rudolf Steiner made a call to the youth of his time with the words ‘stick together with an iron will’. This was in order to overcome the great differences in perspectives and because, in Steiner’s words, “Sticking together is what is most necessary if we hope to accomplish anything today with regards to life’s great issues. […] Eventually, you may realise that the greatest of your youth was knowing how to stay together." (Steiner, R. in "Youth & the Etheric Heart" CW 217a)

In this spirit, we would like to make an appeal to our members and friends to support young people to come together despite these difficult times we live in. We would be very grateful for your support and will to help young people find their way to the Goetheanum!
