Our International Students Conference will take place digitally this year.
You are invited to participate and help us build TRUST in our times!

Dear friends,

Tomorrow will begin a very unique and special International Students Conference that will bring together students from all over the world to talk about and experience "Trust". It will not be under the usual circumstances - which brought together youth from all corners of the planet at the Goetheanum - and yet, we will still strive to meet one another, to work together and to deepen friendships more than ever.

For many of you, or for many of the young people you know, this has been a tough year. Of course it has been challenging for everyone! Yet for students either finishing school or starting further education, experiencing encounters with others is so vital that the challenge can feel even bigger. At the beginning of this new situation many of us were excited by how the technological tools allowed us to keep learning and stay in touch; after a while for many it has become clear that online contact will simply never replace what we were able to feel and experience when meeting one another in person.

It is with this knowledge and direct experience that the ISC21 team is working towards a digital conference that will embrace this new situation we are in with the trust that we can still genuinely connect in a human way when we meet around themes and questions that matter to us.

We hope that many of you will join us in this new adventure and that it will become a meaningful memory for many young people in the years to come!

Wishing you a wonderful beginning of Easter time, wherever you are in the world, and hope to see many of you from tomorrow onwards at Trust.

With warm greetings from the Goetheanum,

Andrea de la Cruz, Ioana Viscrianu,

A LETTER FROM "TRUST's" ORGANISING TEAM
Dear friends of the Youth Section Worldwide,

We hope this letter finds you safe, and healthy! We would like to invite you to join the International Student’s Conference 2021 "Trust".  It will happen this Wednesday, March 31st, until Saturday, the 3rd of April, 2021. This year, due to the world-wide pandemic, the ISC21 will be held digitally, via HopIn as opposed to being held at the Goetheanum as it usually is. Despite this, there is still a lot of fun, immersive activities that has been prepared, that you can enjoy when you attend the conference!

During this four-day conference, you will be given a chance to meet students from all over the world. With students coming from places such as Germany, Brazil, and the Philippines to name a few, you will get the chance to interact with peers without having to leave the safety of your homes.

This conference can also provide a space for you to broaden your horizons. With participants coming from all over the world, you can get to know how life is from different places. By having the opportunity to meet new people, the daily routine you have established throughout this whole lockdown can be brightened up a bit by creating new connections. Though it is held virtually, the conference can still serve as a space where you can learn about other cultures, and find future friends by meeting fellow students from various countries.

In addition to this, by attending the conference you will get a chance to listen to lectures, attend workshops, and participate in conversation groups that can serve as a space for you to further explore the main theme. During these four days, we hope to impart onto you a more enriched and further understanding on the concept and idea of Trust. With the complex nature of the word and the nuances it carries, attending the conference can provide a space for you to discover what trust can mean for yourself, as well as for a collective group of like-minded participants.

We hope to see you there!
