Dear Friends of the Youth Section Worldwide,

As the year nears its closing, we take a moment to reflect on the learnings and achievements of 2022. A year of change, closures and new beginnings.

In this simple newsletter, we want to share our annual review and invite you to our future events, which are currently being shaped by the team in collaboration with youth around the world. We hope you will feel inspired by what has happened in the Section and what will become!

Some of us in the team would also like to take this opportunity to wave goodbye to you all as we move on to our next adventures and away from the Youth Section's work. It has been a true honour to be trusted with the Youth Section's work, and we are full of expectation for what new generations of young people will develop with and for Anthroposophy.

Many of us will think this Christmas and New Year's time about the First Goetheanum and its impulse deeply. We will also look ahead and connect to the centenary of the foundation of the General Anthroposophical Society and the School of Spiritual Science. It is, therefore, no coincidence that 2023 forebodes to be a year of potential and renewed vitality. We hope you will join us in all that is to come for the Section's work in the future. In supporting youth to experience the Goetheanum, Anthroposophy and the possibilities that it offers to our present times. We also hope that you will continue by our side, enabling young people's initiatives and questions to shape a shared future together.

With much appreciation for your being there, we wish you a meaningful and light-filled Christmas and Holy Nights season,

The Youth Section at the Goetheanum team

"RESHAPING A WORLD MOVEMENT"
27 SEPTEMBER - 1 OCTOBER 2023
AT THE GOETHEANUM
How can the work of Anthroposophy be renewed and strengthened in a rapidly changing world? After more than 100 years of existence, what are its next steps? How can we take the experiences, challenges and achievements of the Anthroposophical Movement, Society and School of Spiritual Science into the future? Together we want to reshape the world movement that emerged from Anthroposophy!

We look forward to hearing different perspectives and questions from your Anthroposophical work. We are interested in your ideas and viewpoints on how the movement can progress, given the challenges and needs of our time.

A transdisciplinary working conference at which common challenges and questions of our time will be worked through, and artistic interventions, impulses for the future and encounters will be given space.
SUPPORT OUR WORK
In 1924 Rudolf Steiner called to the youth of his time with the words, "stick together with an iron will". This was to overcome the great differences in perspectives and because, in Steiner’s words, “Sticking together is what is most necessary if we hope to accomplish anything today with regards to life’s great issues. […] Eventually, you may realise that the greatest of your youth was knowing how to stay together." (Steiner, R. in "Youth & the Etheric Heart" CW 217a)

In this spirit, we would like to appeal to our members and friends to support young people to come together. We would be very grateful for your support and will to help young people find their way to the Goetheanum!
