The highlights of the Agriculture Conference 2025
With livestreams
The conference starts with a look into the future: How are successful activists from different regions of the world campaigning for the sustainable development of our planet? Swati Renduchintala (IN), scientist at World Agroforestry, Ercilia Sahores (AR/MEX), director of the Organic Consumers Association, and Thoraya Seada together with Naglaa Ahmed of the Egypt Biodynamic Association (EBDA) will report on their work for sustainable agriculture.
University Professor Dr. David Martin will then focus on the seven life processes according to Rudolf Steiner. Mechthild Oltmann, priestess of the Free Christian Community, will connet this concept with the Earth as a living being, rounding off the opening day.
Using Rudolf Steiner's concept of the seven life processes in connection with the twelve senses, we will dive deep into the question of how we can perceive, understand, and actively support the Earth as a living being based on Michael's letter "Michael's Task in the Sphere of Ahriman" – with Monique Macfarlane and Eduardo Rincón; Ueli Hurter and Matthias Rang; Chick Ying Chai and Dr. Jasmin Peschke.
In a
panel discussion, Feya Marince, co-founder of the Indigenous Biodynamic Association of Africa, Anthoniselvi Savarimuthu, biodynamic farmer from India, Maria Margareth Widiyanto, co-founder of the Biodynamic Association of Indonesia, and Diego Porras, coffee grower in Mexico, will reflect on the importance of indigenous perspectives. They illustrate how the connection to the earth is preserved in indigenous cultures and fosters a deeper appreciation of the earth as a living being.
Finally, a transdisciplinary exchange will bring together experts from the fields of medicine, education, and agriculture. Berni Courts from the Ruskin Mill Trust, Dr. Martin Günther Sterner, internist and gastroenterologist, Tobias
Hartkemeyer, teacher and CSA pioneer, and Ruben Segers and Antoinette Simonart from De Kollebloem farm in Belgium will discuss how integrative approaches can create a holistic practice for health and agriculture.

Specialist group meetings and tasting evening
In the run-up to the conference, various specialist group meetings and a tasting evening with biodynamic delicacies from all over the world will take place.

The Section for Agriculture at Biofach in Nuremberg

The world's leading trade fair for organic food and natural cosmetics takes place from 11 to 14 February in Nuremberg, Germany. It is an important business event, an emotional event for the industry and at the same time a meeting and an opportunity for positioning, learning and knowledge exchange. Dr. Jasmin Peschke from our Nutrition department will contribute to the congress programme at the "Organic Food Production and Health" science forum. The event is organised by FQH (The International Research Association for Organic Food Quality and Health) and
moderated by Dr. Jostein Hertwig, Executive Director of the Global Alliance for Organic Districts.

Dynamic Nutrition Network
Next online session: 6 March 2025, 14.00–15.30 CET
After three sessions of the Dynamic Nutrition Network in 2024 we’re continuing in spring with bioodynamic food quality as theme in 2025. We’re inviting professionals in nutrition including cooks, chefs, therapists, nutritionists, doctors, farmers, processors, and anyone with a deep interest in nutrition, to participate in
continuing the online meetings on Dynamic Nutrition. The aim of these sessions is to deepen and share aspects, insights and knowledge about nutrition. And develop a professional network on Dynamic Nutrition. The meetings will be held in English with simultaneous translation into Spanish. We look forward to continuing our collaboration for nutrition on a biodynamic basis!

Mit Livestreams
Die
Tagung startet mit einem Blick in die Zukunft: Wie setzen sich erfolgreiche Aktivistinnen verschiedener Weltregionen für eine nachhaltige Entwicklung unserer Erde ein? Swati Renduchintala (IN), Wissenschaftlerin bei World Agroforestry, Ercilia Sahores (AR/MEX), Direktorin der Organic Consumers Association, und Thoraya Seada zusammen mit Naglaa Ahmed der Egypt Biodynamic Association (EBDA) berichten von ihrer Arbeit für eine zukunftsfähige Landwirtschaft.
Darauf richtet Uni.-Prof. Dr. David Martin den Fokus auf die sieben Lebensprozesse nach Rudolf Steiner. Mechthild Oltmann, Priesterin der Freien Christengemeinschaft, verbindet
dieses Konzept mit der Erde als Lebewesen und rundet damit den Eröffnungstag ab.
Anhand von Rudolf Steiners Konzept der sieben Lebensprozesse in Verbindung mit den zwölf Sinnen tauchen wir tief ein in die Frage, wie wir auf der Grundlage des Michaelbriefs «Michaels Aufgabe in der Ahriman-Sphäre» die Erde als Lebewesen wahrnehmen, verstehen und tatkräftig unterstützen können – mit Monique Macfarlane und Eduardo Rincón; Matthias Rang und Ueli Hurter; Chick Ying Chai und Dr. Jasmin
Peschke.
In einer Podiumsdiskussion reflektieren Feya Marince, Mitbegründerin der Indigenous Biodynamic Association of Africa, Anthoniselvi Savarimuthu, biodynamische Landwirtin aus Indien, Maria Margareth Widiyanto, Mitbegründerin der biodynamischen Vereinigung Indonesiens, und Diego Porras,

Fachgruppentreffen und Degustationsabend
Im Vorfeld der Tagung finden verschiedene Fachgruppentreffen sowie ein fulminanter Degustationsabend mit biodynamischen Köstlichkeiten aus aller Welt statt. Kommt gerne am Dienstagabend, 4.
