Identity, Belonging, Encounter and Questions

The Youth Section at the Goetheanum's recent events, focus on questions of identity during the time of youth.

You can now register for the upcoming colloquium "Questions of Belonging"
(4-5 December online and local gatherings) and read our report from the theatre project
"Question, Encounter, Play! Transformative Dialogue Through Theatre" (11-17 October).

Dear friends of the Youth Section Worldwide

There is still time to register for our end of year colloquium "Questions of Belonging" from 4 - 5 December. This event has been organised in response to young people's questions about identity shaping in connection to gender, sexuality and race in present times, and their interest in what Anthroposophy has to say about these aspects of our earthly constitution.

Contributors include: Constanza Kaliks, Mariano Kasanetz, Menna Saed, Till Hoeffner and Ronja Eis.
The event is designed in such a way that it allows for collaboration and interaction beyond geographical borders, trying to accommodate time zones and different ways of participation. We encourage joining the event from a local group - that is, forming a local group with friends or other young people who are interested in participating. There will be sessions that'll be collaborative and artistic in nature and for these, it would be great to have peers close by to work with.

If you are a group that would like to organise a local event in connection to the colloquium, please get in touch with us! We will have a meeting with all interested groups in preparation for the event tomorrow Thursday the 18th of November at 15:00 CET!

There are no costs for this event, but we encourage you to make a donation/financial contribution to continue making the work of the Youth Section possible. As always, receive all our gratitude in advance for your kind consideration and support!

Project Report
In October 2021, the Youth Section co-hosted a theatre project with the
Initiative Forum for Refugees in Switzerland and in collaboration with the Friends of Waldorf Education to foster inclusion and participation amongst youth from different backgrounds. The program was designed for 16 - 28-year-olds living in Switzerland and Germany, including young people with experiences as refugees. 21 participants came together at the Goetheanum to devise an entire theatre piece from scratch, including the script, music, stage and costume design. The project was supported by Movetia's Youth in Action program and the Anthroposophical Society in Switzerland.
Do you want to share with us an initiative? Would you like to attend upcoming events or receive more information about them? Please get in touch! The Youth Section House is open to visitors and the team would love to hear from you.

With warm greetings from the Goetheanum,
