Dear Friends,

At this Christmas season, we send a greeting filled with warmth and hope to our worldwide biodynamic community from the Section for Agriculture at the Goetheanum. Once again we tune into a time of year of closing cycles, a pause in activity, and the expectation of renewal. Whether in the Northern or Southern hemisphere, we sense an inner orientation to the dynamic extremes at work on the Earth, welcoming the deep winter months in the North, or the active, expressive summer in the South. In either case, this season invites us into a still awareness of mind and a presence of heart.

The brief pause during the festive season is not experienced as emptiness, but rather as a fullness of expectancy, and preparation. Christmas time offers an opportunity to look back on the year and reflect on how we have experienced ourselves, one another, and our shared work. Within the stillness, life gathers strength for what will come next, reinforcing the values of hope, renewal, gratitude, kindness and unity.

Despite the challenges of the past year, we have continued to build resilience and strength. Our work has ceaselessly carried on, strengthening our research community and fortifying the development of biodynamic agriculture in different parts of the world. We look forward with anticipation to continuing this work, every chance to bring life-enhancing qualities to the Earth and to human beings. At this time, our future depends on the steady work of ongoing research and to building the collaborative spirit and strength of a community that supports it.

Within the Spirit of Christmas – a time when each human inner light shines a little more clearly into the darkness – we believe that together our collective efforts and our shared light will enable us to meet the trials ahead and build a brighter future. This is a guiding vision as we transition from the 2025 conference theme of 'The Earth as a Living Being' to next year's theme of 'Living Communities for the Future'.

Inspiring lectures, panel discussions and workshops
In Chinese, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish

You can look forward to a rich programme with lectures, panel discussions and 55 different three-day workshops – to deepen the conference theme, but also to explore other biodynamic topics, whether in content or in artistic practice.

Each day begins with a study of Rudolf Steiner’s Michael Letter "Michael’s Experiences and Events during the Fulfilment of his Cosmic Mission": on Thursday, 05.02.2026, with Feya Marince and Helen van Zyl; on Friday, 06.02.2026, with Gloria Sun and Maria Paz Bernaschina; and on Saturday, 07.02.2026, with Martin von Mackensen and his students.

Even before the conference there will be an opportunity to explore the Michael Letter together with Eduardo Rincón and Albrecht Römer at the online meeting on 21 January at 2 pm. Everyone is warmly welcome, including those who will not be able to attend the conference.

Pre-conference day for professional meetings with tasting evening
3 February 2026

We warmly invite you to arrive already one day before the conference in order to discuss specific topics, learn from one another and work together on the future.

PROGRAMME PRE-CONFERENCE DAY

The morning programme is aimed especially at advisors, educators and researchers, while an artistic moment is planned for early afternoon, during which you can add something to your methodological toolkit through eurythmy, speech formation or perception exercises.
In the afternoon we offer an open space for specialist groups or other thematic work meetings.
Finally, we will all come together again in the evening to celebrate biodynamic products with a tasting and a simple dinner. It is also possible to participate in only selected elements.

TASTING EVENING:

Das Team der Sektion für Landwirtschaft am Goetheanum sendet herzliche Weihnachtsgrüsse voller Wärme, Dankbarkeit und Hoffnung an unsere weltweite biodynamische Gemeinschaft. Diese besondere Zeit des Jahres lädt uns ein, innezuhalten – im stillen Winter des Nordens ebenso wie im lebendigen Sommer des Südens – und uns innerlich neu auszurichten. Sie schenkt Raum für bewusste Präsenz, Sammlung des Geistes und Offenheit des Herzens.

Die Festtage sind eine Phase der Vorbereitung und Erwartung. Sie geben Gelegenheit, auf das vergangene Jahr zurückzublicken und unsere gemeinsame Arbeit, unser Miteinander und unsere Verbundenheit zu würdigen. In der Stille sammelt das Leben neue Kraft und stärkt Werte wie Hoffnung, Erneuerung, Dankbarkeit, Freundlichkeit und Einheit.

Trotz der Herausforderungen des vergangenen Jahres konnten wir unsere Resilienz weiterentwickeln und unsere Forschungsarbeit unermüdlich fortsetzen. Dadurch wurde die biodynamische Gemeinschaft gestärkt und die Entwicklung der biodynamischen Landwirtschaft in vielen Regionen der Welt gefördert. Auch in Zukunft wollen wir diese Arbeit mit Engagement fortführen und einen lebendigen Gemeinschaftsgeist pflegen, der sie trägt.

Im Licht der Weihnachtszeit vertrauen wir darauf, dass wir gemeinsam die kommenden Aufgaben gestalten und eine lebensfördernde Zukunft aufbauen können. Das Miteinander und die lebendigen Gemeinschaften sind auch das Thema der kommenden Landwirtschaftlichen Tagung vom 7. bis 10. Februar 2026, wozu wir alle ganz herzlich willkommen heissen.

Inspirierende Vorträge, Paneldiskussionen und Workshops

Euch erwartet ein reichhaltiges Programm mit Vorträgen, Paneldiskussionen und 55 verschiedenen dreitägigen Workshops – zur Vertiefung des Tagungsthemas, aber auch anderen biodynamischen Themen, sei es inhaltlich oder künstlerisch.

Jeder Tag beginnt mit der Erarbeitung von Rudolf Steiners Michaelbrief «Michaels Erfahrungen und Erlebnisse während der Erfüllung seiner kosmischen Mission», am Donnerstag, 05.02.2026, mit Feya Marince und Helen van Zyl, am Freitag mit Gloria Sun und Maria Paz Bernaschina, 06.02.2026, und am Samstag, 07.02.2026, mit Martin von Mackensen und seinen Studierenden.

Bereits vor der Tagung gibt es die Möglichkeit, den Michaelbrief zu erkunden – zusammen mit Eduardo Rincón und Albrecht Römer beim Onlinetreffen am 21. Januar um 14 Uhr. Alles sind herzlich willkommen, auch diejenigen, die bei der Tagung nicht dabei sein können.

Vorkonferenztag für Fachtreffen mit Degustationsabend
3. Februar 2026

Wir laden euch herzlich ein, bereits einen Tag vor der Tagung anzureisen, um spezifische Themen zu diskutieren, voneinander zu lernen und gemeinsam an der Zukunft zu arbeiten.

PROGRAMM VORKONFERENZTAG (IN ENGLISCH)

Das Vormittagsprogramm richtet sich speziell an Beratende, Ausbildende und Forschende, während am frühen Nachmittag ein künstlerischer Moment geplant ist, bei welchem ihr mit Eurythmie-, Sprachgestaltungs- oder Wahrnehmungsübungen etwas in eure Methodenkoffer packen könnt.
Am Nachmittag bieten wir einen offenen Raum für Fachgruppen oder andere thematische Arbeitstreffen. Schliesslich kommen wir am Abend alle wieder zusammen, um bei einer Verkostung und einem einfachen Abendessen biodynamische Produkte zu feiern. Eine Teilnahme ist auch für einzelne Elemente möglich.
