Dear Friends of the Youth Section,
Do you know someone who should be invited to the Youth Section’s Co-Workers' Gathering and the Youth Education Days taking place this May from the 23rd to the 29th in the Netherlands?
Do you know of a youth group, study program, or youth project that is working with Anthroposophy? Help us connect with them and invite them to the gathering of young people and youth workers from around the world! The network consists of young people (14-35 years old) whose regular youth work, projects, or student groups are related to and inspired by Anthroposophy. The network tries to cultivate connection through the newsletter that comes out from the Goetheanum, by both reading and contributing, and gathering together annually for deepening and renewal.
From the 23rd to the 25th the focus will be on the future of higher education and Anthroposophy. Many leaders of independent colleges and youth seminars will participate in these first three days. The Youth Seminar in Stuttgart, Thoreau College in the USA, and the Youth Initiative Program in Sweden, to name only a few. This first part of the gathering has been co-organized with the Iona Stichting and the Bildung Academie. From the 26th to the 29th young co-workers from around the world will share from their work while deepening their understanding of digital technology and spirituality as well as the core tasks of the Youth Section (the Youth Section was founded 100 years ago this year).
Might finances be an issue?
Last year, co-workers committed to creating a
scholarship fund
together to help with this. The intention was that every youth project or group would contribute on some level, while not everyone would need support. It is off to a wonderful start:
CHF 7,314 of CHF 15,000 have been raised
!
The team at the Goetheanum is looking forward to the gathering in May, and actually, there would be more to say about it, but we are one week away from hosting the
International Students' Conference
! We are expecting over 700 participants from all over the world, and we still have some preparations to attend to. If you would like to learn more about this event you can
visit the website.
Below you will find information about a series of very interesting seminars the Youth Section is hosting at the Goetheanum and notices about events and opportunities from around the world.
With greetings from Switzerland,
Nathaniel Williams
