Polarities and Forming the Center - The Building Motif of the Second Goetheanum / November Conference 27 to 29, featuring an exhibition of works by the participating artists

mit dem diesjährigen Thema der Novembertagung der Sektion für Bildende Künste möchten wir ein zentrales Thema der Anthroposophie und des Kunstimpulses Rudolf Steiners aufgreifen, welches darüber hinaus eine zunehmende gesellschaftliche Aktualität hat. Dieses Thema betrifft die Wirkung von Polaritäten und die Bildung von vermittelnden Mitten. Mit dem Zentralmotiv des Goetheanum, Gegensätze zu verbinden und die Kraft der Mitte zu finden, hat Rudolf Steiner eine zentrale Fähigkeit für die Zukunft sichtbar gemacht. Auf eine geheimnisvolle Weise prägen diese Polaritäten auch die Entwurfsmotive für das erste und zweite Goetheanum sowie dessen Herzstück, die Holzstatue des Menschheitsrepräsentanten. Was ist das Geheimnis von diesem Baumotiv und warum war es Rudolf Steiner so wichtig, dass er es den Besuchern sinnlich erlebbar machen wollte? Dieser Frage werden wir mittels Plastizier- und Bewegungsübungen sowie Impulsreferaten nachgehen. Der Vergleich zwischen der embryonalen Gestaltwerdung des Menschen, die als plastische Übung mit den Teilnehmenden durchgeführt wird, und dem Baumotiv des Goetheanum wird dabei ein Schwerpunkt sein. Wir möchten damit auch das sich nähernde Jubiläum der Eröffnung des zweiten Goetheanum 1928 vorbereiten und nach der Aktualität des Bauimpulses fragen. Ausstelllung eigener Arbeiten Sie sind herzlich eingeladen, ein oder zwei eigene Arbeiten mitzubringen, besonders solche, die in Beziehung zum Tagungsthema stehen. Lassen Sie uns bei Ihrer Anmeldung bitte wissen, wie viele Werke in welchem Format Sie mitbringen möchten. Weitere Details siehe Flyer ------------------------------------------------------- Dear artists, dear art lovers, with this year’s topic of the November conference of the Visual Arts Section, we would like to address a central theme of anthroposophy and Rudolf Steiner’s artistic impulse, one that is also becoming increasingly relevant in today’s society. This theme concerns the effect of polarities and the formation of mediating centers. Through the central motif of the Goetheanum—uniting opposites and finding the power of the center—Rudolf Steiner brought to light a key capacity for the future. In an enigmatic way, these polarities also shape the design motifs for the first and second Goetheanum, as well as their centerpiece, the wooden statue of the Representative of Humanity. What is the secret behind this building motif, and why was it so important to Rudolf Steiner that he wanted visitors to be able to experience it with their senses? We will explore this question through modelling and movement exercises, as well as stimulating presentations. The comparison between the embryonic development of the human form, which the participants will explore through modeling exercises, and the building motif of the Goetheanum will be a central focus Exhibition of individual works You are cordially invited to bring one or two of your own works, especially those with a special relationship to the conference theme.
