Ausstellung / Exhibition Lichtblatt und Feuerform • FEROSE und Stephane Zwahlen, Skulptur und Malerei • 23. September 2023 bis 21. Januar 2024 Liebe Kunstinteressierte, dear art lovers (English translation below) Mit einer Vernissage am Freitag, 22. September um 18 Uhr eröffnen wir im Beisein der beiden Künstler die Ausstellung «Lichtblatt und Feuerform • FEROSE und Stéphane Zwahlen, Skulptur und Malerei». Ihre Werke könnten unterschiedlicher nicht sein: hier die «Lichtblätter» eines malenden Poeten; dort die filigranen bis wuchtigen Werke aus der Feuerform der Eisenplastikerin. Gemeinsam ist beiden das Hinhorchen: der Klang von Farb- und Lichträumen, die Sprache von Natur- und Lichtkräften, das Echo tiefer Bewusstseinsschichten. Daraus innere Substanz gewinnen und damit ins Aussen gehen, ins Material. Stephane Zwahlen hat sich über Jahre mit den Skizzen zu den Naturstimmungen von Rudolf Steiner forschend befasst. Die nun gezeigten Entwicklungsreihen zu den Wesensgliedern des Menschen sind eine Frucht dieses langjährigen Studiums auf einer
anderen Ebene. Es ist eindrücklich, wie für den Betrachtenden mit so wenigen Formelementen und einer charakteristischen Farbgebung jede Schicht der Wesensglieder fraglos anwesend ist und zugleich spricht. FEROSEs Eisenplastiken zeigen eine langjährige Auseinandersetzung mit dem Werkstoff Eisen, materielle Grundlage unserer heutigen technischen Zivilisation, zugleich der Mut-Substanz Michaels, mit der er den Drachen bändigt. Es ist erstaunlich, dass FEROSEs teilweise bis zu zwei Meter fünfzig grosse Skuplturen aus einem dünnen Eisendraht entstehen. In mühsamer und auf den Feuerpunkt zentrierten wochen- und monatelanger Arbeit schafft sie so Werke,

Their works could not be more different: here the «light sheets» of a painting poet; there the fragile and massive works from the flaming form of the ironsculptress. They both have in common the ability to listen: to the sound of spaces of colour and light, to the language of the forces of nature, to the echo of deep layers of consciousness. From this, gaining inner substance and using it to go into the outside, into the material. Stephane Zwahlen has spent years researching Rudolf Steiner's sketches of the Moods of Nature. The series of developments on the bodies of the human being that are now on display are the fruit of many years of study on a different level. It is impressive how, with so few formal elements and a characteristic colouring, each layer of the bodies is unquestionably present and speaks at the same time. FEROSE's iron sculptures show a long-standing exploration of the substance iron, the material basis of today's technical civilisation, and at the same time the substance of Michael's bravery with which he tames the dragon. It is astonishing that FEROSE's scupltures, some of which are up to two metres fifty in size, are created from a thin iron wire. In tedious weeks and months of work centred on the point of fire, she creates works that on the one hand have delicate and fragile filigree forms or on the other hand massive and powerful ones.
