Holistic agroecology and biodynamics
New season of the Living Farms Podcast and accompanying online sessions

We are pleased to announce a new season of the Living Farms Podcast on the topic of “Holistic agroecology and biodynamics.” Each episode will be followed by an online session for shared reflection and deeper discussion. The guests alternate between practitioners from biodynamic agriculture and other holistic and sustainable approaches, as together we explore their points of connection.

The season opens with an episode on syntropic agriculture featuring Natalia Muguet (Brazil). In conversation with Eduardo Rincón, she shares insights into her work in agroforestry, herbal medicine, and sustainable practices.

In the subsequent online session on 11 May 2026 at 1:30 PM CEST, we invite you to join us alongside a group of experienced farmers as we explore how biodynamic medicinal plant cultivation can benefit from syntropic farming approaches.

We will meet via the new online platform “Biodynamic Network”. Let’s connect, share ideas and relevant reading already in advance!

New learning format: peer study group on astronomic farming
Bring your questions from your work, project or your fram!

Do you have a challenge, project, or research question in biodynamic agriculture—and feel stuck working on it alone? Then try our new format: peer study groups where you support each other, learn together, and co-create practical solutions.

Your questions and challenges are at the center. In small groups, you’ll exchange knowledge, discuss real-world issues, and receive additional input from experts as well as support from coaches.

In 2026, we’re launching a pilot program with a first group on “Astronomic Farming.” Please fill out the form below, share your questions and challenges, and submit it by 15 April. We’ll then get back to you with further information and the dates for the first meetings. In the meantime, you can join the “Astronomic Farming” space on the online platform “Biodynamic Network” to start connecting.

Development Lab of High-Impact Courses
Review of the advanced training course for biodynamic educators

The international course “Development Lab of High-Impact Courses” for biodynamic educators was successfully completed in March 2026. A total of 23 participants from around the world worked on contemporary approaches to adult education through online sessions, coaching, and a final in-person meeting ahead of the Agriculture Conference 2026 in Dornach.

The focus was on shifting from knowledge transfer to facilitating learning processes—emphasizing experiential, learner-centered education. Participants gained new perspectives, strengthened their role as educators, and are now eager to put what they have learned into practice.

More than just a meal: the dining table as a place of learning

When children are involved in food preparation and have a say in what is eaten, they develop healthy eating habits that last a lifetime – all the more so when eating is associated with a pleasant atmosphere. Far more happens at the dining table than simply eating. It is the place where children gain numerous experiences that will stay with them for life. Here, they encounter the diversity of food and the dining community, right through to their own bodies and needs.

Ganzheitliche Agrarökologie und Biodynamik
Neue Staffel des Podcast Living Farms und begleitende Onlinesitzungen

Wir freuen uns, eine neue Staffel des Podcast «Living Farms» zum Thema «Ganzheitliche Agrarökologie und Biodynamik» anzukünden. Im Anschluss an jede Folge findet eine Onlinesitzung zur gemeinsamen Vertiefung statt. Die Gäste stammen im Wechsel aus der biodynamischen Landwirtschaft und anderen ganzheitlichen und nachhaltigen Landwirtschaftsmethoden. Gemeinsam erkunden wir ihre Berührungspunkte.

Den Auftakt macht eine Folge zur syntropischen Landwirtschaft mit Natalia Muguet (Brasilien). Im Gespräch mit Eduardo Rincón gibt sie Einblicke in ihre Arbeit in Agroforstwirtschaft, Pflanzenheilkunde und nachhaltigen Praktiken.

In der anschliessenden Onlinesitzung am 11. Mai 2026 um 13:30 Uhr, CEST laden wir euch ein, gemeinsam mit einer Gruppe erfahrener Landwirt:innen zu erkunden, wie der biodynamische Heilpflanzenanbau von syntropischen Anbauansätzen profitieren kann.

Wir treffen uns über die neue Online-Plattform «Biodynamic Network». Vernetze dich schon im Voraus, tausche Ideen aus und teile passende Literatur!

Du hast eine Herausforderung, ein Projekt oder eine Forschungsfrage in der biodynamischen Landwirtschaft – und kommst alleine nicht weiter? Dann probiere unser neues Format aus: Peer-Studiengruppen, in denen ihr euch gegenseitig unterstützt, voneinander lernt und gemeinsam Lösungen entwickelt.

Im Zentrum stehen deine Fragen und Herausforderungen. In kleinen Gruppen tauscht ihr Wissen aus, diskutiert praxisnah und bekommt zusätzliche Impulse von Expert:innen sowie Begleitung durch Coaches.

2026 starten wir ein Pilotprogramm mit einer ersten Gruppe zum Thema «Astronomische Landwirtschaft». Bitte fülle das untenstehende Formular aus, teile deine Fragen und Herausforderungen mit und sende es bis zum 15. April ab. Wir melden uns anschliessend mit weiteren Informationen und den Terminen für die ersten Treffen bei dir. Bis dahin kannst du dem «Astronomic Farming»-Bereich auf der Onlineplattform «Biodynamic Network» beitreten, um dich bereits zu vernetzen.

«Development Lab of High-Impact Courses»
Rückblick auf den Weiterbildungskurs für biodynamische Ausbildende

Der internationale Kurs «Development Lab of High-Impact Courses» für biodynamische Ausbildende wurde im März 2026 erfolgreich abgeschlossen. 23 Teilnehmende aus aller Welt arbeiteten in Online-Einheiten, Coachings und einem Abschlusstreffen vor der Landwirtschaftlichen Tagung 2026 in Dornach an zeitgemässen Ansätzen der Erwachsenenbildung.

Im Fokus stand der Wandel von Wissensvermittlung hin zur Begleitung von Lernprozessen. Die Teilnehmenden gewannen neue Perspektiven, stärkten ihre Rolle als Ausbildende und möchten das Gelernte nun in die Praxis umsetzen.

Mehr als Essen: der Esstisch als Bildungsort

Werden Kinder an der Essenszubereitung beteiligt und können sie mitbestimmen, entwickeln sie ein gesundes Essverhalten, das das ganze Leben anhält – umso mehr, wenn Essen mit einer angenehmen Atmosphäre in Verbindung gebracht wird. Am Esstisch passiert weit mehr, als nur das Essen zu sich zu nehmen. Es ist der Ort, an dem Kinder zahlreiche Erfahrungen fürs ganze Leben sammeln. So begegnen sie der Vielfalt der Lebensmittel und der Tischgemeinschaft bis hin zu ihrem eigenen Körper und ihren Bedürfnissen.

Drei Bedingungen nennt Ueli Hurter in seinem Artikel «Zusammen aus freiem Willen» über die gemeinschaftliche Arbeit: Autonomie, Transparenz und gemeinsames Wollen. Wie gewinnt man diese drei Fähigkeiten? Autonomie bildet sich aus dem Ja zu sich selbst; Transparenz bedeutet, dieses Ja auch nach aussen zu leben; und gemeinsames Wollen fußt auf dem Ja zu anderen Menschen. Was für eine soziale Musik erklingt, wenn dieses dreifache Ja ins Leben kommt, davon ist in den Schilderungen von sechs Agrar-Willenspionieren und -pionierinnen die Rede.
