Dear Friends of the Youth Section,
The last time we sent out a newsletter it was early summer. Now the pumpkins are big on my neighbor’s vine and plants are going to seed. Since summer there has been an international network gathering at the Goetheanum, a founding event for a new Youth Section working group in Germany, an international youth conference in Matsevani (Georgia), events in the USA and Brazil, and a youth conference to celebrate the inauguration of the Oceanic Youth Circle in Australia. Friends from throughout the network have sent in articles and images from most of these events, which are included here.
In a newsletter like this, I am reminded that while we look toward the Goetheanum as a center of the movement the best thing we can hope for is to see the spiritual Goetheanum through the center, which is active around the world.
This weekend we are hosting a second seminar on inner work and in two weeks the Goetheanum World Conference will take place. In October we are hosting the theatre project "Question! Encounter! Play!" and the International Students' Conference will become one of our main focuses. Noël Norbron will be joining the team in Dornach to help especially with this. Our other preparations are related to an upcoming event at the Goetheanum on "Spirituality and Technology".
More podcast episodes have come out on challenges related to coming of age today, touching on themes such as psychedelics and spirituality, consumerism, and economics. These will continue to come out this fall and I would like to express gratitude to the Goetheanum communications team for their help with producing these.
I have been spending time with a couple small children over watercolors and paper. This sometimes consists in painting together and sometimes in me receiving instructions of what to paint. Animals are a favorite theme. We are including some of these dashed off images in this newsletter as well.
With greetings from the Goetheanum,
Nathaniel Williams
